On the night before He died, Christ gathered His Apostles to celebrate the Last Supper and to give us the inestimable gift of His Body and Blood. This truth is the core of our Catholic Faith.
Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist (EME) assist the priest in the distribution of the Eucharist during Mass when the size of the congregation requires it.
Candidates for the ministry must be Catholic, a member of the parish in good standing, and be trained prior to becoming an EME in preparation to fulfill their role with knowledge and reverence. Upon completion of this training, individuals will be commissioned by the priest as a member of the EMEs. All EMEs know their service is not a right, but a privilege.
We have Formation meetings occasionally throughout the year. Training for new ministers is arranged per individual or group as needed.
