The parish Pastoral Council is a consultative body to the pastor. Governed by norms established by the Archbishop, the Pastoral Council assists the pastor in fulfilling the mission of the parish.
The Parish Mission Statement:
A diverse Catholic family guided by the Holy Sprit, committed to serve others and deepen our relationship with the heart of Jesus.
The purpose of the Pastoral Council is to promote communication and understanding among parishioners, parish organizations and ministries. It also provides recommendations for establishing parish priorities, directions and policies.
The Council size is variable and determined by the pastor but usually not more than twelve members. Members are selected to reflect the broad diversity in the parish in a multitude of aspects. The usual term is three years which is renewable once. Member terms are staggered to facilitate continuity within the council.
The Pastoral Council meets with our pastor the 2nd Monday of each month.

The Pastoral Council would like to thank everyone who participated in the Parish Town Hall meetings and those who completed the Parish Survey. The meetings and the survey allowed the Pastoral Council to gauge your views on the recent and upcoming changes to our parish.
The final Survey Report was released and added as an insert to the Seton Sunday News on Aug. 2nd, 2015. You may read the final Survey Report here.
A Town Hall Presentation on the results of the Parish Survey was held on Aug 19, 2015. You may see the slides shown during the Town Hall Presentation here.
Late in 2016, our parish, with the help of the Gallup Organization, conducted a Member Engagement Survey for all the adults in our parish community. The survey allows our Parish Leadership to gather the following information:
Attached below are two files:
> File "Understanding Your Member Engagement Survey Results" has instructions on how to read and interpret the results of the Member Engagement Survey with a sample results taken from other parishes.
> File "ME25 Report - St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (Bothell, WA) 12-14-2016" are the results of the survey from our faith family
Our Parish Leadership is currently evaluating the results of the survey and developing Action Items to increase the engagement of our faith family to our parish.
