2016 Feast of the Filipino Saints

On October 1, 2016, our faith family honored the lives and faith of the two Filipino saints: San Lorenzo Ruiz and San Pedro Calungsod. Both San Lorenzo Ruiz and San Pedro Calungsod declared themselves unwaveringly for Christ and responded generously to His call. They were both missionaries - called to be evangelizers of our faith – and brought the word of God to the peoples of the world. They died as martyrs. Their lives show the love and true unyielding belief and faith in God.
